Cypress Dome Immersion

Fort Myers, Florida | September 17th @ 12-3pm

This is your invitation to immerse yourself in one of Florida’s most wild and sacred ecosystems - the cypress dome. Together, we will commune with this environment through a combination of land offering and acknowledgment, a silent meditative walk, ecopsychology practices, and reconnecting to the wisdom of the Earth.

Each participant will receive an image of them in this immersive experience, as these memories will be captured to continue to share the beauty, wisdom, story, and sacredness of the Cypress Dome.

  • Mandalynn Freeman

    GUIDE | ECOPSYCHOLOGY

    FGCU Alumni, Mandalynn Freeman, was deeply moved, transformed, and awakened by this Cypress Dome. This is where her ecospychology, permaculture, and regeneration journey began and she has been guiding individuals to reconnect to the Natural world for nearly a decade. She believes the way towards cultivating a regenerative culture is through listening and attuning to the Natural world. This Cypress Dome has held her through some of the most transformative times of her life, in which she longs for others to feel interconnected to this particular ecosystem and landscape. It has indefinitely shifted her life and she holds the vision for it to shift others as well.

    Mandalynn currently supports and guides individuals through nature-based rite of passages, cultivating a deep connection to the seasons and cycles of life, profound transformation, and radical sovereignty. She supports other through listening and following the calling of the Soul.

  • Josue Cardosa

    PHOTOGRAPHER

    Josue Cardosa is the lead of Swayyy International, a Media company for the people and an A&R for fellow artists. Josue created Swayyy International to highlight beings from all over and capture their moments for lifetimes to share. Bringing beauty into the world for my fellow beings to share this experience in profound ways to reconnect with parts of themselves that have remained hidden. Using nature as an essential tool in the process of tapping into the inner self.

    The intention of photographing this event is to give our guests space to be away from technology, to be present at the moment, surrender away from distractions to fully immerse themselves and to have a core memory that many do not get to venture into while being in nature.

  • Johnny Dame

    NATURALIST | CEREMONIALIST

    Johnny Dame is an Artist, Naturalist, and a Seventh Generation Floridian with Choctaw Ancestry. He has many Generations of deep Earth Wisdom that he carries with him and he has developed numerous practices that he teaches and shares.

    He strongly believes in the importance of helping people to learn how to interface and integrate with the Natural World and to develop skills that allow them to interact with nobility, respect, and kindness.

    He will be teaching about the Geography and Ecology of our location and how it fits in the tapestry and context of other physiographic landforms around us.

Event Details —

This is a journey into one of the most precious, wild, and untouched Florida ecosystems, in which we hold the vision that you will feel the magic of this land.

This is not a simple nature walk. This is an immersion. Be prepared to go knee to waist-deep in rich tannin waters, surrounded by wild Florida flora and fauna, and drop into listening to the wisdom of the Cypress Dome.

This event will include a land offering & acknowledgement, ecological context and education, a silent contemplative walk into the cypress dome, nature-connecting practices to deepen your experience of cultivating a connection to the environment, as well as integration and reflection.
